Career Quest Game

Plasma Games

An activity where students are matched with personalized science careers by answering personality questions, all while creating unique customizable avatars. Responsible for UI/UX and 2D Artwork.

Game UX

Unlike a typical game, this is an activity that was made to replace a simple questionnaire. The goal was to make a more engaging experience that students could enjoy and that teachers would be able to gather valuable data from.

As a result, the final activity sees students create their own avatars, answer personality questions, and receive science career cards that align with their interests.

Collectable Cards

As a result of completing the activity, students are given a set of career cards that tie directly to their expressed fields of interest. Each card features a character and facts related to that career, such as average salary and job outlook. Students can complete the activity multiple times to collect different career cards.

Teacher Reporting

An improvement from the original questionnaire, teachers are able to monitor what careers their students have expressed interest in and see class aggregate data. Using this information, teachers are then able to tailor their instruction to their classroom’s specific interests.
